this morning in the W opens an interesting polemic against the cost of tickets at travel agencies , and remarkable decrease if done via Internet.
This afternoon, the Air Transport Association of Colombia, ATAC, guild of major domestic and international airlines that group 97% of passengers carried, made a statement.
Similarly, discloses that airlines abide by the regulation of the Government, which provides an additional charge to the sale of air transportation services through the Internet. 
ATAC, explains that this measure was defined by President Alvaro Uribe Velez, in the last Assembly ANATO, in order to support the development and modernization of travel agencies. Resolution of Civil Aviation, provides an additional charge and compulsory for purchasing airline tickets in Colombia through the Internet channel.
These charges vary according to the distance of journeys in selected international flights and domestic flights will be a single value.

"Although this new regulation, airlines continue to make efforts to offer competitive airfares and to find formulas that allow provide greater benefits to users.
"This commitment reflects the dynamism of our industry and the objective of finding opportunities to better development and performance of the industry," said Manuel Leal, Chair of ATAC - Air Transport Association in Colombia.
Finally, ATAC reiterates its respect for the rules issued by the Government and the compliance of the airlines in this regulation. "
